Hi simba, I tell you one thing that you are really doing a grt job.thanx for all that help on net. Well I appeared for gmat and got a score of 720. Well I have work exp of 2 solid years in Amex and my third year is going on. I worked as customer support associate with AMEX.
My question is that lot of people say that it is not considered as work exp. Plzz help this soul on this earth as I am very confused as to what shud I do in this particular case.I am aiming for top 10 us schools. One more thing that I am not a son of a rich man, so I am guy with big dreams with ok finance so how shud I look for financing my MBA if I cud make it through by chance.. thank you I would appreciate if you could reply on the above email id. wait for your reply eagerly.
Hey Amit, Of course u can make it to TOP 10 & financing would not be a problem. I will be putting up article about that too soon. No, 2 years is way too less as a CS executive, U might need to put in another 2 or 3 years more.. it will be counted as work ex if u can show career progress, try to grow into a manager or something like that.. Also, u need to clearly show responsible duties on ur CV ... becos they know that call center etc might be too easy... see, u have another 2 or so years, so build ur profile well & also get into loads of extra-curicular!! :-) Hope it helps.
Hi Simba, Just finished reading ur entire blog on PG. Interesting! I'm planning to app to US B-schools for fall 2007 coz i'll have 3 yrs workex by then. Just curious to know how many yrs of experience did u have when u began ur MBA? Do reply. Cheers.
I had 6 yrs when i started! :-)
This is Ankit from Delhi. I went through ur posts and blog. Simba I was wondering if u could share ur profile with me, it will be of help to me. I have just graduated and will be working in Infosys soon. Could you pls suggest how to utitlize my work experience to the maximum to make my application good. Thanks in advance.
maybe wait for a few more years before u think of an MBA! :-)

only problem
which makes me look lost in the crowd is my BAD graduation i want you to
please help me out.
of this mess i wanted to know what score band should i look forward to in
gmat that shall
overshadow my bad graduation i m a science graduate B.Sc. with 48% marks in
2004 and am
planning to join MS (FINANCE) through distance and have an experience of 2
years before
graduation as Sr Client service executive and have currently joined an ad
agency as a Business
development manager altrough i have been working part time during my
graduation days in the
same agency from a different city but m not sure wether to show this as it
